Declared Valuation (Insurance)

Each of your shipping and storage packages is automatically insured against loss or damage up to a value of $100 each, at no additional cost to you.

Extra Declared Value costs $3.00 per $100. The first $100 is included FREE for each item. Maximum coverage is $1,000 per item. Note: We do NOT offer additional declared value on unboxed televisions and unboxed lamps.

We strongly recommend the purchase of additional declared valuation in cases where the replacement value of your possessions exceeds $100 per item. Please refer to our terms and conditions for a complete description of our declared valuation policy.

Early Returns to Campus

If you are returning to campus early as an Athlete, RA, Orientation Leader, etc., we suggest you ship one box home for the summer with your toiletries and bedding so you have them with you before official move-in begins, then we will deliver your stored items on the delivery date you select.

Collegeboxes is designed to service a large number of students in a short amount of time. That is why we can offer you much better pricing than if you were to call a mover for just yourself.

Our delivery dates are designed to coincide with the move-in dates of the general population of returning students. Due to the high volume and the complexity of deliveries, we cannot promise any other delivery dates than what are posted for the general population. If there is a chance that you will be returning to campus before the delivery dates, please take advantage of our shipping service in the spring to ship home a box of essential items you'll need immediately upon your return to campus in the fall. Essential items often include: bedding, towels, toiletries, etc.

Off-Campus Deliveries

Collegeboxes is designed to pickup from on-campus housing and deliver back to on-campus, housing at the same campus. Off-campus deliveries are shipped via FedEx or UPS.

For our customers who are moving to off-campus housing, or transferring to a different campus, PLEASE NOTE, your items will be shipped via FedEx or UPS for your delivery. Shipping charges will apply. Only boxes and luggage can be shipped to off-campus locations. No furniture or appliances are allowed for off-campus shipments.

Please note that *only boxes & luggage* can be stored if you plan to utilize this option. We *cannot ship furniture* to off-campus addresses.

Off-campus shipments can be scheduled on Mon or Wed of each week. This is the date the items will leave our storage facility via FedEx or UPS. Transit time is 1-5 business days depending on distance (local shipments take 1-2 business days). Shipments are delivered Mon-Fri. No off-campus deliveries are made on weekends or holidays.
