Valuation

We strongly recommend the purchase of additional declared valuation in cases where the replacement value of your possessions exceeds $100 per package. Please refer to our terms and conditions for a complete description of our declared valuation policy.

While our shipping service is very reliable, there are exceptions. Therefore, Collegeboxes recommends that you follow the cardinal rule of shipping:

Ship only what can be replaced,
and insure all that you ship.

Note that declared valuation coverage is subject to the policy of United Parcel Service, available on their website.

Early Returns to Campus

Collegeboxes is designed to service a large number of students in a short amount of time. That is why we can offer you much better pricing than if you were to call a mover for just yourself.

Our delivery dates are designed to coincide with the move-in dates of the general population of returning students. Due to the high volume and the complexity of deliveries, we cannot promise any other delivery dates than what are posted for the general population. If there is a chance that you will be returning to campus before the delivery dates, please take advantage of our shipping service in the spring – to ship home a box of essential items you’ll need immediately upon your return to campus in the fall. Essential items often include: bedding, towels, toiletries, etc.

Off-Campus Deliveries

Collegeboxes is designed to do pickups from on-campus housing and deliveries back to on-campus housing at the same campus.

For our customers who are moving to off-campus housing, or transferring to a different campus, we offer an off-campus delivery option. We will utilize our partnership with UPS to offer delivery of boxes to any address within the continental United States. Please note that *only boxes* can be stored if you plan to utilize this option. We *cannot deliver furniture* to off-campus addresses. You have the ability to choose a half-week period during which your items will leave our warehouse (local to the campus where your items were picked up from). It’s a one-day transit time for any student who is returning to the same area, but often times multiple days for students who are transferring to different schools. Please reference http://www.ups.com/maps?loc=en_US to determine how long your items will be in transit. UPS ground shipping charges will apply for this option.
